Tips From My Cleaning Professional: Get a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

Some of my listings need a good cleaning before they go on the market so they can be presented in the best possible condition for potential buyers.

When that happens, I have a wonderful cleaning professional in the Edwardsville, Glen Carbon region. (If you'd like an introduction, let me know.)

The most recent house she sparkled up for me is a terrific three-bedroom, all-brick ranch in the Leclaire neighborhood in Edwardsville, Illinois. It had been a rental and when the renters moved out, the cleaning service moved in at my direction.

I took a look at the house after she was done and WOW, what a difference. It was so clean it squeeked.

"What's your secret?" I asked my cleaner.

She wouldn't tell me all of her proprietary cleaning knowledge -- but one suggestion she happily shared was this: "Go out and get a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Right now."

So I did.

Friends, I don't know what the heck this thing is made of, but every surface I have touched with it -- from bathroom shower doors and the microwave to a grungy igloo cooler and scuffed tennis shoes -- comes out cleaner.

No one has ever accused me of cleaning too much, but this product almost makes it fun to do housework. Almost.

Mr Clean Magic Eraser Rocks, it really removes those tough wall spots, it is a great invention.

I love those things! They actually work! I get grunge from around light switches, door knobs and so many other wall related goodies. Great post Nancy!

Nancy -- I ran across these the other day at Home Depot.  They looked interesting and now I, based on your recommendation, will definitely pick them up the next time I am in the store.

I love them.  Now they make them for the bathroom..tile and tub. I have no uidea what they are made of but they are also great for scuffs on the floor.

Hosai -- Thanks for stopping by. I think one of these will go into my Realtor Bag 'o Tricks.

Lisa -- Your sister can't be wrong!

Ted -- I am fighting the impulse to go all over my house wiping out smudges. It's too late tonight.

Deb -- Thanks! I can't figure out how so many grimy fingerprints get on the door.

Jeanean -- You're right. I am all about an easier life!

Lora -- Here's the best part: They're cheap and they come two to a pack.

Ann -- I picked mine up a Dierberg's. Have fun!

Tara -- You're welcome. Have a great night.

You know you are right! I don't know what is in them or why they clean so well...so I use gloves but geez they do work!! They are especially great for that textured handle on the fridge that never looks clean any other way!

You are absolutely right Nancy, I have no idea what is in them (I don't really care either because they work) but they are true to the name MAGIC!

My favorite use so far is front doors. Just being able to get the shoe marks and fingerprints off white front doors makes them worth their weight in gold!
